Job Description
Range of Projects in The Gulf area of the Middle East, Eastern Europe, USA, India and Sri Lanka, Southern Africa . The projects are mainly planning, design, tendering and construction supervision of engineering works and have timescales that range from 6 months to 2 years. There would also be the opportunity to work on projects from the UK between resident assignments and to carry out short term international assignments. My client is looking for experienced project managers that can lead multidisciplinary design or construction supervision teams and want to develop a long term career. For all but the very largest projects project managers also need to have strong technical expertise in the discipline relevant to their project. These technical skills are likely to be one or more of the following:
Urban water and wastewater planning, Water network modelling, network management and leakage control, Drainage area studies and sewer planning and network management, Water and wastewater treatment design, including desalination, sludge and odour control, Water transmission design, including large pipelines, tunnels, tanks and pumping stations ,Tender documents, tendering and programme management, Construction supervision. Candidates need to be able to work in a variety of cultures and manage a range of international and domestic consultants. Strong project management skills and the ability to deliver high quality projects to time and cost are a must.
