Network Modeling EngineerPADCO is seeking a Network Modeling Engineer to serve as a team member of the Dili Water Supply Performance Improvement project and work to improve the performance of the National Directorate of Water and Sanitation (DNSAS) in managing and operating its Dici city water supply services. He/She will report to the Water Utility Manager and Community Relations Specialist who will serve as the Team Leader for this project. The Network Modeling Engineer will work with the National Directorate of Water and Sanitation (DNSAS) on improving demand management, including reducing non-revenue water (NRW).
Specific tasks may include:
-Undertaking a comprehensive assessment of the skill levels, systems and practices of DNSAS Dili city operating sections
-Designing a capacity upgrading programs in collaboration with the Ministry of Interior and DNSAS managers
-Provide on-the-job and in-house training to DNSAS operating sections to improve capacity in hydraulic network modeling
-Provide ongoing management and technical support to the demand management task force
Qualifications/experience:
-Hands-on experience in hydraulic network modelling working for reputed engineering consulting organizations and/or water utilities
-Experience of rendering training to utility engineers is desirable
-Masters in civil engineering and/or similar qualification related to water supply
-Graduates with exceptional work experience will also be considered
-Minimum seven years network modeling experience, preferably in a low income city with similar conditions
-Experience in southern Asia and knowledge of relevant languages are desirable
